Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks says point guard John Wall “looked really good” playing 3-on-3 against player development staffers on Thursday.
Wall appears to be making good progress in his recovery from a torn Achilles tendon, but it's still doubtful he plays a game this season for the Wizards:

On July 22, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis said he doesn’t expect John Wall to play this season. The former No. 1 overall pick played in 32 games last season before undergoing his season-ending heel surgery. Wall then fell at his house and tore his Achilles tendon.
Wall averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game in 2018-19 while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.
Wall signed a four-year, $170 million contract extension (Designated Veteran Player Extension) with the Wizards in the summer of 2017. That contract kicked in this season.
Sure enough, there’s absolutely no point to rush Wall back in 2019-20. The Wizards aren’t contenders right now and the main focus of the franchise is getting Wall back to 100 percent.
Wall has career averages of 19.0 points and 9.2 assists in 573 games with the Wizards. Washington signed Wall’s running mate, star shooting guard Bradley Beal, to an extension before this season started. Wall has been on record saying he wants another shot at winning a title with Beal.
