The Minnesota Vikings have had a busy offseason so far and most of their big-name cuts happened before free agency.

The team moved on from Xavier Rhodes which was a surprise to some, but it was a needed move to save cap space. This is a very young team now with a lot of draft picks coming in that will probably fill roles pretty early.

With the Vikings, there probably won't actually be too many big-name players who are cut, but there are a couple of players who could be cut that would be a surprise to some.

Honorable Mention: Chad Beebe

Chad Beebe seems to be a fan favorite with Vikings fans, but he could be cut in the preseason.

Coming into last season there was some buzz around Beebe being the team's third wide receiver, but he couldn't stay healthy. Beebe played in only three games, catching two passes for 70 yards. Staying healthy in college was an issue for Beebe and last season was cut short with an ankle injury.

The Vikings brought in Tajae Sharpe in free agency and Justin Jefferson in the first round of the NFL Draft. The team also has Bisi Johnson and K.J. Osborn, who look to be locks to make the roster.

If someone else emerges like Davion Davis, or Alexander Hollins has a strong offseason, Beebe could find his spot gone.

One player who could be cut: Sean Mannion

Vikings backup quarterback Sean Mannion spent last season on the team, but he was never needed with Kirk Cousins staying healthy the entire season. There aren't a lot of people talking about it right now, but the quarterback room is going to be the battle to watch during training camp and the preseason.

Cousins is the team's starting quarterback and there is no competition there, but after that, there are a lot of questions. Former Washington Huskies standout Jake Browning spent the entire season last year on the practice squad and will have a chance to compete for the backup spot.

The team also drafted former Iowa Hawkeyes quarterback Nate Stanley. There was some buzz earlier in Stanley's career at Iowa that he was the perfect NFL quarterback. That buzz died down, but he still has that skill set that got some scouts so excited.

If the Vikings decide they want to continue having Stanley and Browning in the quarterback room, Mannion could find himself looking for a new job.
