As the fantasy football playoffs are two weeks away, the tight end position isn't going to do much for your team. It's time to continue our fantasy football series with a breakdown on the tight end position.

We are at the point in the season where we know who is in the elite category or not. Only a select few players show out each game and now that Darren Waller is out with an injury, that list gets even shorter. There are some glimpses of hope for a few players that could benefit your team this week. Let's take a look at the six tight ends fantasy football owners should consider starting or sitting for Week 13.

Fantasy Football Week 13 Start ‘Em

Dalton Schultz – Dallas Cowboys

It needs to be an early decision but Schultz is worth starting Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints rank 8th against opposing tight ends, however, so it won't be an easy one for him. The connection between Schultz and QB Dak Prescott is getting better and better and he's turning himself into one of the better tight ends of the season. He caught three passes off of seven targets for 46 yards and a touchdown. That resulted in 15.6 fantasy points per ESPN which is good for the tight end position.

Zach Ertz – Arizona Cardinals

Ertz scored two touchdowns in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks. He was targeted nine times and caught eight of them for 88 yards. He's playing much better with the Cardinals and should play well against what is a tough defense against tight ends. Ertz is a veteran and should be someone Kyler Murray targets as he comes back from an injury. The Chicago Bears rank 5th against opposing tight ends, but I still expect Ertz to play well once again.

Jack Doyle – Indianapolis Colts

Doyle certainly isn't an eye-opening player. Although in Week 12 he caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown. He has three-straight games with at least three catches which is a good sign. He faces the Houston Texans this week who rank 29th against opposing tight ends. We could see Doyle in the endzone again this week or at least with multiple catches. He should be considered this week as he has a more favorable matchup than many.

Week 13 Fantasy Tight Ends Sit ‘Em

Foster Moreau – Las Vegas Raiders

Moreau is the replacement for Waller this week. He is projected to play pretty decently but I don't think that will be the case. It's too risky to start him this week as he hasn't proven anything other than a few touchdown catches this year. With the playoffs closing in and only a few teams making it, starting him could really screw your team up.

Hunter Henry – New England Patriots

Henry leads the team in touchdown receptions this year with seven but will be in for a tough game this week. He faces the 6th-ranked defense in the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The last two games didn't go well for Henry and that could be a bad sign. The Bills are going to make it difficult on Mac Jones but that could result in a few connections to Henry. Either way, I don’t like his matchup and he shouldn't be started this week.

Cole Kmet – Chicago Bears

I was certainly wrong about Kmet last week. I didn't project him to play well at all and he went out and caught eight passes for 65 yards. He was targeted 11 times over the course of the game on Thanksgiving which is a great sign. He reached 14 fantasy points for the second time in his last three games. I would say he could be in line for another game but he faces the top-ranked Arizona Cardinals defense on Sunday. I wouldn't consider starting him as that could hurt your team.
