Now that Major League Baseball has successfully pulled off a real-life Field of Dreams Game, it leaves us wondering what the ideal setting for the NFL version of a Field of Dreams Game would be. With so many historic football fields available for this across the country, it opens the door for plenty of new and exciting opportunities that the NFL should pursue.
Holding a midseason tournament or playing a few regular-season games at one of these iconic fields would, without question, be a big box-office showing. If the NFL wants to pull it off successfully, there are three spots the league absolutely must consider for their very own Field of Dreams Game.
3. Lambeau Field
Arguably the most iconic football field in the NFL, a Field Of Dreams Game would be the perfect setting for a Packers game. At some point during the the regular season, a Packers-Vikings or Packers-Bears matchup in this format would be very fitting and make for an exciting game, especially with the rich history that comes with that rivalry.
With all the memorable games that have been held there over time, a Field of Dreams Game at this stadium would bring a new level of excitement while elevating a rivalry to the next level. If there is a stadium in the NFL with a Field Of Dreams vibe, it’s Lambeau Field, without question.
2. Rose Bowl Stadium
As the sight of many historic college football games, Rose Bowl Stadium would make for an epic venue to host a Field of Dreams Game, especially now that the Chargers and Rams have been relocated to Los Angeles. The excitement of a Rams-Chargers matchup in this format would be a fun new way to build up the excitement and popularity of professional football in Southern California.
With both teams showcasing a plethora of superstar talent, the atmosphere for this matchup would be electric. Considering how much roster overhaul these two teams have undergone over the past few seasons, this matchup would go down as one for the ages, all while bringing a Field of Dreams vibe to sunny Pasadena.
1. Tiger Stadium
Currently the home of the LSU Tigers, one of the winningest teams in college football history, this stadium would be a great place to host a Saints-Buccaneers matchup during the NFL season, especially with the excitement of college football also in session. This would be an exciting new format that could take this NFC South showdown up a few notches.
Both teams are vying for supremacy in the crowded and competitive NFC South. For the football-crazed state of Louisiana, this setting for an NFL Field of Dreams Game seems like a no-brainer. Hosting an NFL game at Tiger Stadium is something that the league should definitely take into strong consideration, especially with a rivalry of this caliber.

Now that the NFL currently plays regular-season games in London every year, also making a Field of Dreams Game a yearly occurrence would make for a fun change to the NFL schedule and give fans another fun event to look forward to every season.
This is especially true with so many great venues nationwide for them to host a game of this magnitude and the NFL moving to an 18-week schedule (and maybe an 18-game schedule in the future). Adding this to the schedule would only further increase the popularity of the sport and give the league a new way to keep fans further engaged. Granted, football is already the most popular sport in America by a wide margin, but there are always new opportunities to innovate and adapt to continually keep things exciting each and every season.
With this concept, the NFL would be doing exactly that while opening up the door to other fun and exciting new possibilities for them to pursue further down the line. Having said all this, Lambeau Field, Rose Bowl Stadium, and Tiger stadium would without a doubt be the three best spots to host the NFL’s version of a Field of Dreams Game.
