Future Hall of Fame wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is perhaps one of the most loyal players the game has ever seen. Almost loyal to a fault. Fitzgerald recently signed yet another contract extension with Arizona, but he will hit free agency again in 2020. The Cardinals owe it to Fitzgerald at this point to put him in a position to win a Super Bowl before his career is over.

There are a few teams that are in a solid place in regards to making a trip to the Super Bowl and those teams could either trade for Fitzgerald or reach out to him in 2020 once he is a free agent.

These are the teams that should consider pursuing Fitzgerald, arguably one of the most reliable receivers in the history of the league.

New England Patriots

The Patriots don't really need much considering the two Super Bowl wins in the last three seasons, but if there's one position the team could assess it's the wide receiver position. Unfortunately, the Patriots lost Josh Gordon for the season after yet another bout of off field issues and tight end Rob Gronkowski is nowhere near the player he was just a couple seasons ago. This has left Tom Brady with no choice but to look for wide receiver Julian Edelman more than he should have to.

The addition of Fitzgerald could instantly boost an already elite offense, but it would also put him in place for almost a sure Super Bowl appearance. The fact that the Patriots were counted out so early in the season and ended up winning yet another Super Bowl is truly incredible. It goes to show they could remain in that position in the near future and with enough time to make the most of Fitzgerald's final years of his career.

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are ahead of schedule in terms of team success. A new head coach, a quarterback coming off an injury-ridden season, and an underachieving offensive line were among the list of adversities the team overcame in 2018. Now that the offense appears to be on it's way to repeating it's success in 2019, it's obvious the unit could benefit from another proven pass catcher to complement T.Y. Hilton. Fitzgerald could be just the player to do so.

The Colts have a fantastic quarterback and after years of drafting players to protect him, they now have arguably the league's best offensive line. Everything is in place for Indianapolis' offense to be one of the league's best, but they desperately need another receiver to put them over the edge.

Philadelphia Eagles

Unfortunately, the addition of Golden Tate did not work out the way Philadelphia had hoped for. While they still have several great pass catchers headlined by Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery, it's apparent they could benefit from another weapon. Fitzgerald would fit in very well to complement the potentially elite offense in Philadelphia and restore the offense they had in 2017.

The Eagles have a similar situation to the Colts in regards to each team having a solid wide receiver one, an athletic, reliable tight end, and a solid group of running backs. Fitzgerald could take pressure off of the other pass catchers and find a lot of success in an offense like Philadelphia's. Fitzgerald may even be the next to complete another successful “Philly Special.”
