Alabama quarterback Bryce Young sure bolstered his resume for the 2021 Heisman Trophy award in the thrilling 24-22 road win over rival Auburn.

Young came into this game in tremendous form due to the 18 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions recorded over the Crimson Tide’s five-game winning streak. However, his overall performance on the day was far from flawless, as he did not lead the offense to a single scoring drive until the fourth quarter.

In what has already been tabbed as his Heisman moment, Young redeemed himself over the late stages of the fourth quarter as he connected with wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks for a crucial game-tying touchdown. Young later completed the comeback win with a 2-point conversion to wideout John Metchie III in the fourth overtime of the contest.

The sophomore quarterback has once again been garnering much acclaim to be the favorite for the 2021 Heisman Trophy. Former Alabama quarterback and current Philadelphia Eagles passer Jalen Hurts is on board with the notion that Young should win this prestigious college football honor.

Hurts took to Twitter to provide a simple, four-word tweet backing Young to be the top contender for the Heisman Trophy.

Young will have a key opportunity to put the finishing touches on his resume for this award in next week's 2021 SEC Championship Game against the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. In the big picture, Alabama’s College Football Playoff aspirations may be on the line in what could be billed as the biggest game so far this season.
