The Colorado Avalanche are one win away from winning the Stanley Cup after beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in overtime in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals Wednesday night. The Avalanche did not lead for the entire game, until it was over. Of all players to put the Avs within a win of the Cup, it was none other than Nazem Kadri.

This was Kadri's first game since Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. He suffered a thumb injury that required surgery and many believed he would not return this postseason. As it turns out, he might have made the biggest play of the year for Colorado.

About 12 minutes into overtime, Artturi Lehknonen sent a beautiful feed to Kadri's stick as he entered the zone. Kadri made an incredible move to get the puck onto his forehand and flipped it up past Andrei Vasilevskiy for the game-winning goal. However, there was a lot of confusion. The puck got stuck up inside the net and almost no one was aware that it even went in for at least the first few seconds.

It was very reminiscent of the Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Kane winning the Stanley Cup in 2010.

Game 4 did not get off to a very good start for Colorado though. Lightning forward Anthony Cirelli scored just 36 seconds into the game. However, the Avs bounced back to tie it on the power play as Nathan MacKinnon scored. After falling behind 2-1, Andrew Cogliano scored less than three minutes into the third period.

The game would remain that way until Kadri ended it in anti-climactic fashion for all but Avs fans and players.

Colorado has now earned the opportunity to play for the Stanley Cup on their home ice in Game 5 Friday night.
