The Colorado Avalanche leads the St. Louis Blues 3-1 in the second round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Colorado pulled off a showstopping win in Game 4, complete with a stunning hattrick from Nazem Kadri.

Unfortunately, Kadri hasn't been able to fully relish in his team's accomplishments. Instead, the Avalanche forward is dealing with multiple hate messages and death threats because of his accidental collision with Jordan Binnington.

Kadri and Calle Rosen were racing to the puck when they collided with Binnington in the crease, knocking the net off its moorings. In the collision, Binnington suffered a knee injury during the incident and exited the game. He will miss the rest of the series as a result, and fans are accusing Kadri of causing the injury on purpose. They've taken to social media to directly accuse and threaten him.

Kadri's wife, Ashley, shared a “small example” of the horrible messages people sent to Kadri over the last couple of days through their cat's Instagram page, @jazzykadri.

“Great game tonight, very proud of Nazem. But I wanted to shine light on what the last 48 hours has looked like for us as a family,” she wrote after the Game 4 win, prefacing the posts.

Most of the messages included in the post are racially motivated and attacked Kadri for his religious beliefs.

“This is just a small example. There are many more,” Ashley wrote. “This behavior doesn't belong in sports, or anywhere. If you are not condemning racism, then you are tolerating it.”

Police are involved and investigating the threats toward Kadri.
