Allen Robinson is set for a big year despite his contract stalemate with the Chicago Bears, and it looks like he is more than ready to make the most of his opportunity.

The 28-year-old wide receiver is heading to the 2021 season under the franchise tag, which will pay him $17.9 million for one year. With that said, it's not wrong for fans to assume he'll be on a quest to show everyone what he can do and prove to the Bears his true value.

However, Robinson apparently couldn't care less about proving himself to anyone. While he said recently that the failure to reach an extension with the Bears will serve as a motivation, he's not really focused on that as he has one clear goal in mind: to be one of the top wide receivers in the NFL.

“I'm going out here this year to be the best player that I can be. That's my main focus. I'm not focusing on proving anybody wrong. It's about me going out there, getting better, improving from my years prior and continue to ascend as a player in this league,” Robinson told Chris Emma of The Score.

Allen Robinson is poised to have a breakout year with the Bears after a 2020 campaign that saw him record a career-high 102 receptions for 1250 yards and six touchdowns. He hasn't been in the Pro Bowl since 2015 when he was still with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but that drought could end in the upcoming season.

No only has Robinson been consistently good for the Bears, but he is expected to play with a chip on his shoulder due to his contract status. His mentality to really step up and show all his weapons certainly bode well for a Pro Bowl year as well.

Of course a lot can happen in a long and grueling season, but odds are on Robinson taking a gigantic leap.
