Gordon Hayward's current contract with the Boston Celtics expires in the summer of 2021 becoming a free agent yet again but at the age of 31 and coming off an injury-riddled post-Utah Jazz career. The swingman will have made $184,615,627 in NBA money by that time, per Spotrac.

Hayward entered the NBA in 2010 as a lottery selection by the Jazz. The former Butler star made $2,356,320 during his rookie season and put up 5.4 points per contest in 16.9 minutes per game.

In his second year, Gordon Hayward earned $2,038,724 and increased his scoring average to 11.8 points. The Indiana native finished his rookie contract with the Jazz by making $2,709,720 in Year 3 and $3,452,183 in Year 4.

The Jazz and Hayward couldn't agree to a rookie-scale extension before Year 4, so the small forward entered restricted free agency during the summer of 2014. Hayward signed an offer sheet with the Charlotte Hornets, as he was being recruited by Kemba Walker.

However, Utah matched the Hornets' offer sheet for Gordon Hayward, who got a four-year, $63 million contract that summer. He made $14,746,000 during the 2014-15 season and averaged 19.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the Jazz.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Hayward averaged 19.7 points per game for the Jazz while earning $15,409,570. He made his first and lone All-Star team in 2016-17. Hayward averaged 21.9 points that season and led the Jazz to the second round of the playoffs, where the team ultimately fell to the Golden State Warriors.

Hayward made $16,073,140 in 2016-17 and was set to enter unrestricted free agency during the summer of 2017.

The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics pursed Gordon Hayward but the Jazz felt confident they were the front-runners to keep him. Unfortunately for Utah, Hayward joined the Celtics after signing a monster four-year, $127.8 million free-agent deal with Boston.

During his first year with the Celtics, Hayward made $29,727,900. However, he only played five minutes before suffering a horrific leg injury on opening night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Hayward returned for the 2018-19 campaign and played in 72 games. He averaged 11.5 points per contest and made $31,214,295.

The former All-Star looked more like himself in 2019-20 before games were suspended due to COVID-19. Hayward averaged 17.3 points in 45 games. He was set to make $32,700,690.

Whenever the 2020-21 season starts, Gordon Hayward will make $34,187,085.
