The Milwaukee Bucks disappointingly bowed out in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics, but a big reason for that was the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo's right-hand man, Khris Middleton. The veteran suffered an MCL sprain in the first round and was ultimately sidelined for the rest of the playoffs, leaving the Bucks relatively shorthanded when it came to scorers around The Greek Freak.

Now, the focus shifts to hopefully chasing another title in 2023 and thankfully, Middleton is on the right track already when it comes to rehab. GM Jon Horst dropped a huge update on the forward during a press conference on Friday:

That's music to the ears of Bucks fans all over. Middleton only played in two postseason games, averaging 14.5 points, assists, and five rebounds. Milwaukee was still able to get by the Chicago Bulls, but his absence was certainly felt.

During the regular season, Middleton posted 20.1 points, 5.4 boards, and 5.4 dimes on 37% shooting from deep, complementing Antetokounmpo perfectly. It's an absolute shame he got hurt when he did because the Bucks could've certainly gone a lot further and perhaps even got back to the Finals.

Nevertheless, he's returning to the court, lifting weights, and getting ready to be a big part of Milwaukee's plans in 2022-23. That's all that matters at this point.
