The Milwaukee Bucks have had a solid free agency thus far by bringing back Bobby Portis. However, the Bucks lost PJ Tucker, who ended up signing with the Miami Heat. Now they have added another player to shore up their shooting.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Bucks are bringing Rodney Hood aboard.

Hood was traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Toronto Raptors at the NBA trade deadline and played sparingly for the Raptors, appearing in just 17 games. The Bucks will now add a sharpshooter who can space the floor.

Hood has to be released by the Raptors, but that is expected, and upon clearing waivers he plans on joining the defending NBA Champions.

Losing Tucker was a big blow, but retaining Portis– especially for a cheap deal— and bringing on Hood are solid moves for Giannis Antetokounmpo and company, who are trying to prove they aren't just a one-hit-wonder.

Hood, the former first-round pick out of Duke, is hoping for a bit of a career resurgence in Milwaukee after averaging single digits in points for the first time in the past five seasons. The good news? Hood is a career 36.7 percent three-point shooter, and the Bucks could definitely use more shooters on their already-talented roster.
