According to Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen, this year's team is a squad full of ‘ballers.'

Through the course of the offseason, the Bulls added several key pieces to their team through free agent signings and the draft. Boylen, who's entering his first full season as head coach, briefly described each of their acquisitions. In summary, he believes that all of them are certified ballers.

“We’ve added ballers to this team,” Boylen said, per Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. “Coby White, whether he’s a 1, he’s a 2 — he’s a baller. Shaq (Harrison’s) a baller. (Ryan Arcidiacono) is a baller. Archie started 12 games at 2 for us last year. His true position is probably point guard, but he’s a baller. Thad Young’s a baller. He can play 3, 4 or 5. He’s a matchup nightmare. That’s what this roster is. We’ve got to do a good job using those guys and give them space and freedom to use what they have.”

Last year, Boylen took over the head coaching post after the Bulls fired Fred Hoiberg. He was faced with the challenge of uplifting a disgruntled team while at the same time, trying to find his footing. After all, it was his first time as a head coach in the NBA after years of being an assistant for several teams.

Now, he'll get a chance to implement his own system, impart his own identity, and share his overall mission-vision to the team. It's a tall order but Boylen is well-equipped with a bunch of ‘ballers' proudly donning the Bulls jersey.
