Chicago Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson thinks that the path to rebuilding the franchise is through the NBA draft.

The Bulls have had quite a season thus far in posting just a 9-25 record to this point, with the team choosing to fire former head coach Fred Hoiberg and replace him with Jim Boylen.

Of course, there's been lots of turmoil surrounding that decision, as he hasn't exactly had the smoothest start to his new role.

So, with all the issues surrounding the franchise, Paxson seems pretty aware of the necessary steps that need to be taken for Chicago to once again be a contender.

And, more specifically, Paxson believes that the draft is the best way of trying to turn things around.

That may not be the answer that Bulls fans want to hear, especially considering how disappointing things have been for the team as of late.

But it appears that without guys like LeBron James and Kevin Durant as options, Paxson is intent on trying to get things back on track by going directly through the draft.

On a positive note, the Bulls have won back-to-back games for the first time this season, as they're coming off victories over the Orland Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Chicago will return to the court on Wednesday in hopes of extending its winning streak in a home matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
