The Chicago Bulls have looked every bit the part of an Eastern Conference contender through two preseason games. Granted the games don't officially count just yet, but blowing out your first two opponents by 36 apiece is probably a good early sign.

Lonzo Ball has been a huge part of their on-court success thus far. The new Bulls point guard has been absolutely lethal from deep through two games, shooting 7-for-11 from downtown good for 64 percent. He has also been showcasing his impressive defense, garnering 2.5 steals per game.

Zach LaVine has taken notice of his backcourt partner's value to the team. The Bulls star was vocal to reporters on Ball after their preseason thrashing of the New Orleans Pelicans.

“He's one helluva shooter. We had it scouted last year. He was shooting above 40 (% from 3) until he hurt himself at the end of the year. If you're shooting above 40 on 8 attempts, you're a really knockdown shooter.”

“That's a part of his game that teams are really going to have to respect. And if not, they're going to get their head cracked like they did tonight.”

The LaVine-Ball pairing feels like a match made in heaven, with both guards complementing each other perfectly with their unique strengths. The early returns have shown that's the case. Bulls fans can only hope they can carry it over once the season begins.
