Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine insists that Nikola Vucevic will still be a key figure in the team's offense this season.

DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are the two top scorers for the Bulls this season, averaging 26+ points per game to date. The third on the list is Nikola Vucevic, who is far behind at 13.4 per outing.

Though he has yet to make his mark on the Bulls' offense this season, Vucevic leads the team in rebounds with 10.8 per game while ranking second in assists and third in steals. However, LaVine admitted that Chicago still needs the big man's contribution on the offensive end.

According to LaVine, the Bulls are unfazed by what Vucevic's stat shows. In fact, the team will still “trust” him and his offensive arsenal for the rest of the season.

“I think Vooch [Vucevic] is fine. We’re going to continue to give him the ball and show trust with that,” LaVine said via NBC Sports. “He's an incredible player.”

“Obviously, everybody goes through ups and downs throughout the year,” he continued. “He's obviously in a little bit of a slump and wants to play better. I think he'll be the first to tell you that. But we trust him. We're going to find him. And he's doing other things to impact the game.”

Prior to the start of the season, Vucevic already commented on the revamped Bulls squad that is stacked with a wide array of scorers. For the two-time NBA All-Star, they just need some time and good things will certainly follow suit.

“We have so many guys who are good on the ball and that are willing passers, as a big man, it’s a luxury to have,” Vucevic said last month. “We just have to get used to each other and build that chemistry, and I think it’ll be great for everybody.”
