Despite dealing with a right thigh contusion, Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine will play on Wednesday at home against the Washington Wizards.

LaVine was listed as questionable on Tuesday, but head coach Jim Boylen decided to give him the green light.

Zach LaVine leads the Bulls in scoring this season. The high-flyer is averaging 23.7 points per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from beyond the arc and 83.2 percent from the free-throw line.

LaVine, 24, says he's going to play the rest of the season if he's healthy. Some Bulls fans want the team to shut LaVine down so he doesn't get hurt going into the offseason.

The Bulls signed LaVine to a four-year, $78 million deal last summer.
