The Arizona Cardinals finally won their first game of the season after squeaking out a close one against the Cincinnati Bengals. They're looking to add to their run by signing experienced linebacker Ramik Wilson to the 53-man roster.

Mike Garafolo confirmed the news that will surely reinforce the Arizona defense.

Wilson was an outstanding LB coming out of Georgia before getting drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2015 Draft. He was in and around the team before being released in 2017. He then spent a year with the Los Angeles Rams before spending last summer with the Oakland Raiders in summer.

He had a decent output during his first four years in the league. He's notched 146 tackles, one interception, five pass deflections, five fumble returns, and two fumble return touchdowns.

However, he's not the only addition being made to the Cardinals defense. They bolstered their depth at cornerback with the acquisition of Trevor Williams. They also brought in Shane Ray for a workout early this week.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury is not resting on his laurels after the Cardinals finally won their first game of the season. In fact, he thinks that it only calls for more focus from him and the entire team to win their games from that point on.

“We were going to have 11 more games regardless, so you compartmentalize it, but I said it after the game, I was just excited for our time because the effort had been there,” Kingsbury said Monday. “The leadership have been there, and to get that reward, I was fired up for those guys.”

Wilson will be a fine addition to a team that needs stability on defense. And should everything go well, he'll be a key component to the team's winning streak.
