Caron Butler spent last season with the Sacramento Kings where he only played 17 games. He struggled to get any significant playing time in Sacramento and chose to hit free agency.

Butler is now 36 years old and his solid career will soon come to a close. Caron Butler is looking for a few more chances at playing the game, and he has one team in mind that he'd like to play for this upcoming season.

The Knicks have definitely made a lot of solid moves this summer to improve their roster and Caron Butler may not be a bad veteran scoring option that could come off the bench. The problem is that they already have such great depth at that position.

Carmelo Anthony will obviously be starting at the small forward position while Lance Thomas, who is very underrated, will be coming off the bench. It's hard to imagine where Caron Butler fits into the rotation. Still, Butler has a lot of experience under his belt and the Knicks may elect to meet with Butler to see if they can work something out.
