Castlevania Season 4 on Netflix: Release Date and Quick Recap

Castlevania, Netflix

The Castlevania Netflix series ends with Castlevania Season 4, coming later this summer. With its fourth season, the stories of Alucard, Sypha, and Trevor Belmont reach their conclusion. Fans of the Castlevania franchise who wants more shouldn’t worry though. Reports say that the universe established in the first four seasons will live on in future Castlevania animated series.

The fourth season of the Castlevania Netflix series will bring the conclusion of the current Castlevania saga. The stories of Alucard, Sylpha, and Trevor Belmont conclude when Castlevania Season 4 premieres on May 13, 2021. Since Castlevania Season 3 split our protagonists apart, Season 4 will focus on getting them back together. However, the conclusion of Season 3 indicates a possible clash between our protagonists, with Alucard turning against Trevor and Sylpha. We didn’t get to see the three together in the same scene in the trailer, so we’ll have to wait a little longer on how much the three’s relationship has changed.

We will see nefarious forces attempting to resurrect the Dark Lord Dracula in Season 4. However, the powerful vampire won’t be the alone problem our protagonists will have to deal with. Both Isaac and Carmilla now wield a large army of monsters, and they are now gearing for war. Hector himself wields a huge army of his own, and he sets his sights on conquest and destruction.

The fourth season will end the current story, which borrows heavily from Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Meanwhile, Deadline Hollywood reports that Netflix plans on keeping the current universe from the animated series intact. This indicates that there are plans for future Castlevania animated series. These possible series will possibly follow a different set of characters.

The Castlevania franchise has a rich and deep lore that spans centuries, giving the show’s forerunners many possibilities on where to bring the show next. Some of the most popular games of the series include Castlevania Symphony of the NightCastlevania Aria of Sorrow, and Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. This trilogy of games can easily convert into an animated series, spanning multiple seasons.
