Jaylen Brown has more than a few reasons to be delighted with his first trip to the NBA Finals after the Boston Celtics eliminated the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night. As a matter of fact, the Celtics star has exactly 964,286 reasons why he should be over the moon with Boston's Finals berth.

According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, Brown just activated a clause in his contract that will earn him a bonus of close to $1 million after helping the Celtics reach the Finals:

Jaylen Brown has earned a $964,286 bonus with Boston reaching the NBA Finals. The $321,429 Conference Finals bonus is voided. Brown also hit on 2 bonuses worth $482,143 for games played and the Celtics reaching the second round.

Adding that all up takes Brown up to over the million mark in bonuses for this year's playoffs. That's now $1,446,429 worth of performance bonuses on top of the $24.8 million he earned this year in salaries.

I can only imagine how much his bonus is going to be if the Celtics end up upsetting the Golden State Warriors in the Finals. If you ask Brown, however, I'm pretty sure he'll say that the money is just the cherry on top of the cake. An NBA title would undeniably be the ultimate prize.
