Aron Baynes is out for the Boston Celtics' Saturday night matchup with the Chicago Bulls, according to the team. Baynes is still suffering from a left ankle sprain he suffered on Wednesday night against the New York Knicks:

Al Horford is also questionable with left knee soreness.

Expect Daniel Theis to see the bulk of Aron Baynes' minutes on Saturday night. Theis brings a lot of the same things to the game as Baynes. They both bring energy off the bench and are both a threat to knock down a 3-pointer now and again. Theis isn't as physical as Baynes, but he's a better 3-point shooter.

The Celtics are starting to find their groove after starting the season 10-10, the Celtics have won four straight. Even without Baynes, the Celtics should have no trouble dispatching the lowly Bulls. Chicago recently fired head coach Fred Hoiberg. Not to mention, Chicago is tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the worst record in the Eastern Conference. They look like a team destined for a high draft pick come June.

Nothing is ever a given in the NBA, especially with the Bulls coming off a big win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, but this is a game the Celtics should win. Boston is a team that always seems to get better as the season progresses. A win on Saturday night would lead into a stretch of very winnable games for Boston.

Some Celtics fans were ready to hit the panic button 20 games into the season. Now, it looks like the Celtics could be hitting their stride early.
