Celtics point guard Kemba Walker has been sidelined for three games due to an illness, but it sounds like the former UConn standout will be able to play in Wednesday night's home game against the San Antonio Spurs.

As part of a guest appearance with Zolak & Bertrand on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Celtics head coach Brad Stevens revealed that Walker will play against the Spurs:

The fact that Walker is well enough to play is great news for the Celtics, who are currently holding a 25-9 overall record. He's had roughly ten days off, but Wednesday night's game marks the first of a back-to-back set (at Sixers on Thursday).

With Walker coming back into the fold, Marcus Smart will likely slide back to a reserve role. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward also helped to pick up some of the slack with Walker's absence.

Walker joined the Celtics this offseason as part of a trade with the Charlotte Hornets. He's been a solid addition to Boston's roster, racking up averages of 22.5 points, 5.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds and just under one steal (0.9) in 32.3 minutes per outing.

Wednesday night's matchup between the Celtics and Spurs is set to tip inside TD Garden at 7:00 p.m. ET. Both teams have won three of their last five games.
