Danny Ainge unknowingly tipped off the Boston Celtics' eventual first-round selection, as his postseason starting point guard, Terry Rozier, appeared in Bleacher Report's online draft show, got him to discuss his plans over FaceTime.

“I got to draft a point guard,” Ainge joked, knowing it wouldn't sit well with Rozier, who is already behind starter Kyrie Irving in the depth chart.

Ainge later answered truthfully, not knowing Rozier was taking part on a livecast.

“It's going to be Bob Williams, but we're looking at all the medical stuff.”

The Celtics executive was later informed of the gaffe, but didn't mind much after he got the man he was hoping for in Texas A&M center Robert Williams, whom Boston took with the 27th overall pick.

“I was obviously joking with Terry about the guard position. I had no idea I was on live, whatever it was,” Ainge said, according to ESPN's Chris Forsberg. “I thought he was FaceTiming me. I had no idea. But, anyway, that is sort of funny. We're excited about Robert, and we felt like he was the best player available, and we think he's a great fit for our team.”

The Celtics continue to make great selections in the draft, this time snatching someone with as high a ceiling as the top half of the first round, gotten several picks later as he slid down the draft board.

“Danny and [assistant general manager] Mike [Zarren] really started talking about [Williams] around [pick] 17 or 18,” said head coach Brad Stevens. “He's a really talented guy. There's a lot of good players out there, and each pick, we were hoping more and more that he would be available at 27.”
