While it has been a year of discovery and blossoming for Jaylen Brown, the Boston Celtics have been relatively underwhelming.

Luckily enough for Brown and the Celtics, they are able to take out their frustrations in spectacular fashion. On Friday against the Houston Rockets, the 24-year-old slammed one hard that left all of Houston in shock.

Lord have mercy, Jaylen.

By the way, if you didn't know who number 6 on the Rockets is, now you do: Kenyon Martin, Jr. –and before you ask, yes, that does mean that Kenyon Martin.

Well if that's the case, someone should have told Junior what his father did for the New Jersey Nets in the early 2000s. That Kenyon Martin would not have stood for this level of humiliation. Humiliation is exactly what this is.

Lost somehow in the shuffle of Jaylen Brown's new handle and All-Star status is the fact that he was drafted as a high-energy athletic sparkplug. Maybe K-Mart Junior underestimated him too, much to his detriment. Brown might have developed into one of the Celtics' most dynamic primary playmakers, and he is still very young. Also, no one should ever forget what he can do with enough downhill momentum.

This Celtics team is, if nothing else, super-talented. If Friday night's eventual drubbing of the hapless Rockets (13-34) isn't evidence enough of that, this absolute poster should be.
