Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has reached out to the NBA and league commissioner Adam Silver in the wake of the untimely death of Terrence Clarke.

According to Brown, it's only right that the league call Clarke's name during the upcoming NBA Draft.

The Celtics star made his proposal via Twitter as he posted a set of photos of the former Kentucky standout:

Terrence Clarke passed away on Thursday after being involved in a fatal vehicular crash. He reportedly died on the way to the hospital.

After spending the previous season with the Wildcats, Clarke declared for the NBA Draft. The experts consider the 19-year-old to be an outstanding talent and many mock drafts have him going in somewhere in the middle or towards the latter part of the first round.

As the Celtics star proposed, it would be great to hear Clarke's name in the draft. Perhaps the NBA can find a way to have one of the teams officially draft the 6-foot-7 guard into their roster. We're sure that there have been a number of teams eyeing Clarke as a potential addition to their squad, so maybe the league can actually make this happen. This is under the assumption, of course, that whichever team decides to ā€œdraftā€ Clarke gets to pick another player.

Maybe Jaylen Brown and the Celtics can make it happen, too!

We don't think this has been done before, but we are living in unprecedented times right now. Why not honor a fallen prospect now that his NBA dream and his life have been so abruptly taken away from him? The Celtics swingman certainly believes it's the right thing to do.
