Boston Celtics stud Jaylen Brown has been having the best season of his young career thus far. Currently, the 23-year-old is putting up career-best numbers with 20.0 points (on 50.2 percent shooting), 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals while also connecting on 2.0 3-pointers per game on a 37.6 percent clip.

There is no doubt that the 6-foot-6 wing is currently playing the best basketball of his career. In Brown's mind, there was never really any doubt that he could play at such a high level, despite all the doubters:

Brown was selected third overall by the Celtics in 2016, and over the first three seasons of his tenure, some doubt slowly began creeping in about whether or not he actually deserved such a high lottery pick. Well, Year 4 has been absolutely nuts for the former University of California standout, and he is certainly well on his way to proving all his haters wrong.

More importantly, Brown has been instrumental in Boston's very strong start to the new season, with the team currently in possession of a 17-5 record. That's good for No. 2 in the Eastern Conference, second only to the surging Milwaukee Bucks (21-3), who themselves have been on an amazing 15-game winning streak.

For their part, the C's have recorded four consecutive victories and will be looking to make it five straight on Wednesday as they face off against the Indiana Pacers. This will be followed by a highly anticipated matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday in a second night of a tough back-to-back set.
