Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania’s respective reigns over Twitter have ended. It’s now time for Ronnie 2K to trend all over the twitterverse.

With the release date of the highly-anticipated NBA 2K18 video game nearing by the day, player ratings ang first-look photos are dropping from time to time akin to how the free agent signings blew by last month.

In fact, Ronnie 2K may have opened a Pandora’s Box of tweets from players asking about their ratings when he posted a message on how some of these numbers will be released.

The top two picks of the 2017 NBA Draft in Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball both received a debatable player rating of 80 as revealed a few days ago. Meanwhile, the third overall selection in the Boston CelticsJayson Tatum understandably received a lower figure.

Tatum held his own in both the Utah and Las Vegas editions of the Summer League, averaging 18.2 points on 44 percent field goal shooting to go along with 8.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. His numbers remained consistent even dating back to his college stint for Duke.

However, the biggest challenge for the rookie swingman will be earning a prominent role in the Celtics’ deep rotation as he’d have to contend with Jae Crowder, Gordon Hayward, and even Jaylen Brown when the regular season tips off.

There’s no telling how 2K Games came up with these ratings, but it’s up to Jayson Tatum to make the developers realize that he deserves more.
