Kemba Walker is no longer a Boston Celtic. After two seasons playing alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the veteran was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Al Horford.

The news was reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski early in the day of June 18. Moments prior to the news breaking, Jayson Tatum posted a story on Instagram of him relaxing relaxing at the golf course.

The Celtics star might have just missed the news before getting on the course, as Tatum reacted to the Kemba Walker trade bombshell four hours later. He posted a photo together with Kemba along with a simple message, letting his former teammate know he's got his back for life:

“Damn… my boy 4L 🤞🏼”

Kemba Walker spent two full seasons with the Celtics. The 4-time All-Star averaged 19.9 points and 4.8 assists per contest during his tenure in Beantown, which were around his career numbers. However, Walker never seemed to be fully healthy as he missed double-digit contests in both seasons while also battling injuries in the playoffs throughout his stay.

The former Celtics guard gets a fresh start with the Thunder. Just like Al Horford and George Hill this season, and Chris Paul the season before them, the aging star has a chance to prove that he's still got some juice left in him.
