The Miami Heat got off to a horrible start in Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. It was so bad that Jimmy Butler and co. made an ugly history in the process.

According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, the Heat's one point in the first eight minutes of play is the lowest any playoff team has scored in the last 25 years. The Celtics jumped to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter after Miami missed its first seven attempts from the field. They were only able to get to the scoreboard when Bam Adebayo was fouled with 7:56 to play and headed to the free throw line, splitting his two tries.

By the end of the first quarter, the Celtics lead 29-11, with the Heat making just a total of three shots out of 20 attempts. They did make four free throws, meaning they wouldn't have even crossed double digits without their freebies.

The Celtics didn't have the best start as well, going 9-of-22 from the field including 2-of-11 from the 3-point line. However, their efforts were enough to give them a comfortable lead heading to the second quarter.

Of course the Celtics couldn't and shouldn't make a big deal of the monstrous lead they created in the first half. After all, through three games in the series, the Heat have only won two of the 12 quarters they played against Boston. Despite that, they were still able to get ahead 2-1.

For Boston, however, they surely couldn't wish for a better start than that.
