Boston Celtics star Kemba Walker refused to talk about his teammate Marcus Smart's supposed expletive tirade in the aftermath of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat on Thursday. The C's dropped their second consecutive close encounter, 101-106, and are now just two defeats away from elimination.

Asked post-game to elaborate what transpired in that Celtics locker room, Walker initially denied Smart's supposed rampage and later downplayed the incident as “nothing”.

Multiple reports claimed that an extremely frustrated Marcus Smart lashed out on his Celtics teammates following Thursday's letdown against the Heat. The temperamental guard reportedly cursed out several of his teammates and coaches and even threw several items in frustration. The raucous was heard by several people outside the locker room, who claimed Smart continued his tirade as he went to the bathroom.

Emotions were certainly high after another fourth-quarter meltdown for the Celtics, who were actually in control of the ball game in the first half. Smart has had behavioral issues even during his collegiate days at Oklahoma State, and it seems the pressure of the NBA playoffs has gotten the best of him after Game 2.

Kemba Walker, meanwhile, did the right thing by not divulging what truly happened behind closed doors. It was good leadership on his part since talking about Smart's outburst to the press will only complicate things further. It might even cause a rift between the two Celtics backcourt players.

The 4-time All-Star certainly did his best for the Celtics on Thursday, coming up with 23 points, seven rebounds, three dimes, two steals and one block in 34 minutes. After being criticized for his lack of aggressiveness in Game 1, Walker took control from the opening tip and shot 9-of-19 from the field and 4-of-11 from distance.
