In Kemba Walker's one-month absence to begin the 2020-21 season, the tandem of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum stepped up big time to carry the Boston Celtics to a strong start. When Walker finally made his return nearly two weeks ago, the Celtics were missing their other All-Star in Jayson Tatum, who tested positive for COVID-19. With Tatum making his return earlier this week, the Celtics are finally fully healthy for the first time this season.

With Tatum and Brown thriving early without the veteran point guard, Walker expressed how he doesn't expect his return to impact the two studs. The 30-year old wants both Brown and Tatum to remain with their aggressive ways on offense that helped Boston to an 8-3 start.

The Celtics have since lost four of their next six games after some members of the team were hit with the coronavirus, including Tatum. As Walker mentioned, he will need to make adjustments on his part given how successful Brown and Tatum have been to begin the year.

Brown, in particular, has taken a massive leap, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The 5th year guard is off to scorching start to the 2020-21 season, averaging 27.1 points on 52.2 percent shooting from the field and 44.1 percent shooting from three. With these numbers, Brown may very well be on his way to his first All-Star nod and is a clear front-runner to become Most Improved Player this season.

Meanwhile, Tatum, despite missing five games due to COVID-19, has also started out strong. Prior to missing five games due to the virus, the 4th year wing averaged 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists through his first 10 games of the season.

As for Walker, he has appeared in just five games and is still finding his rhythm. He is averaging 16.4 points and 4.2 assists as he begins to get his legs back beneath him.
