Marcus Smart made headlines on Monday after he decided to call out Boston Celtics teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for not passing the ball enough. Boston fell to the Chicago Bulls in disastrous fashion and it has put the team in a bit of a frenzy.

Smart was not very positive in his post-game interview after the Bulls mounted a sensational comeback win at the expense of the Celtics. Smart did not mince words as he criticized both Tatum and Brown for their role in Boston's meltdown against the Bulls.

Former Celtics big man Kendrick Perkins has now spoken out about Smart's criticism and he too had some things to say about this recent development (h/t Celtics on NBC Sports Boston):

Perk believes that Smart broke the locker room code by airing his concerns publicly. In his mind, Perkins thinks that this should have been an internal matter that should have been settled behind closed doors.

Whatever the case may be, Smart can no longer take back what he said. Whether or not this will have an adverse effect on the Celtics moving forward now remains to be seen. Let's just hope they are able to use this issue to their advantage as they look to bounce back from their slow start to the season.
