Boston Celtics forward Marcus Morris is never short on self-confidence. This unrivaled bravado was on full display yet again on Tuesday as the 29-year-old made an outright claim that he was the primary motivation of the Philadelphia 76ers when they recently traded for Tobias Harris.

Morris was not even kidding here, and he truly believes that the Sixers brought Harris on with the sole purpose of having the former Clipper match up with him whenever the Celtics and the Sixers faced each other on the court.

Well, based on last night's matchup, it appears that Morris does have a bit of a point. He helped the Kyrie Irving-less Celtics defeat the Sixers on their home floor, 112-109. Morris recorded 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting, along with a three-pointer, eight rebounds, two assists, and no turnovers in 34 minutes of action.

On the other hand, Harris had an off night in only his third game as a Sixer. The 26-year-old struggled throughout the contest against Morris and the C's, logging only 10 points on a miserable 4-of-14 from the floor. The 6-foot-9 forward went 0-for-6 from downtown but was able to somewhat salvage his line with eight rebounds and a couple of assists.
