It has been two seasons since Marcus Morris last donned a Phoenix Suns jersey alongside his twin brother Markieff Morris.

However, Marcus has continued to be asked questions about the Suns, especially with a matchup against them on Saturday afternoon. Prior to the game, the 28-year-old voiced his frustration with the inquiries about how things unfolded in Phoenix, according to Jim Fenton of The Patriot Ledger.

“Honestly, I’m tired of talking about Phoenix,” said Morris this week. “I’m in Boston, I was in Detroit. I mean, it’s evident what’s going on over there. The players, I have a great relationship with, it has nothing to do with them. It’s the ownership and things like that.

“I think they could be a lot better. The way they treat their players, what players go through, some people think because you’re paid a certain amount, everything else shouldn’t matter. I think they don’t do a great job there.”

It is clear that there remains some sort of disdain to how things are run over with the Suns that still rubs Morris the wrong way. This played a part in how things fell apart with being moving to the Detroit Pistons in the summer of 2015 in order to create space to pursue free agents. This quickly led to his brother, Markieff, voicing his disgruntlement and was eventually traded to the Washington Wizards.

Prior to that, the two had inked contracts with the Suns that would keep them together through the 2019-20 season. The sudden change in direction made for a major distraction around the team that led to both eventually being moved.

Although there remain harsh feelings toward Phoenix, it's a chapter of Marcus' career that he wants to get past.
