Things got testy on Monday night as the Boston Celtics secured a 116-108 victory over the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks in Game 4 of their second-round series. At one point, Marcus Smart got into it with Giannis Antetokounmpo, and apparently, the Celtics guard got the short end of the stick in this exchange.

After their huge win, Smart spoke out about his mini altercation with the Bucks superstar. According to the outspoken Celtics talisman, he actually tried to help Giannis up even after Antetokounmpo kicked him in the face (h/t Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe):

Marcus Smart said Giannis went over his back, they got tangled, said Giannis did a good job keeping him on the floor, kicked him in the face and when Marcus tried helping him up, he refused. “I just said forget it man.”

Here is a look at the incident in question wherein the Celtics guard clearly attempts to help Giannis back up after they got tangled on the floor:

To be fair, the kick did not look intentional. Right? Either way, Smart did not make too much of it and even extended his hand to Giannis after cleaning the sole of Antetokounmpo's shoe with his face.

The Bucks star refused to accept Smart's help which led to the Celtics guard just walking away. Awesome show of sportsmanship from Marcus Smart here.
