Danny Ainge hasn't been afraid to make trades during his time as the General Manager of the Boston Celtics, and leading up to the NBA Draft there has been a ton of rumors swirling about the Celtics wanting to trade up.

Many of the trade rumors have been linked to Boston going after Texas Longhorns center Mo Bamba. Now it appears that the Celtics are going to stand pat with their 27th pick and won't make any trades.

By way of Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe.

“But according to a league source, the growing belief was that the Celtics would ultimately stand pat and select a player with the 27th overall choice.”

The Celtics have a ton of assets in draft picks and young players like Jaylen Brown if they found a guy that they love, but right now it seems like they are content with just making their choice.

Who Boston will select with the pick is still unknown, but there has been a lot of buzz around Grayson Allen from Duke.

There seem to be a few teams that like Allen, and there have been reports that the Houston Rockets were looking to trade up to get him.

There is still time before the NBA Draft starts, and anything can happen in terms of trade discussions. There is a chance Boston could get an offer that they can't pass up, but right now look for the Celtics to keep their pick and find another guy to fill out their bench.
