Montrezl Harrell has joined teammate Lou Williams in firing back at the report of Los Angeles Clippers players being upset that Kawhi Leonard was able to control his load management.

A report from The Athletic said that Harrell, Williams and Patrick Beverley “bristled” when Leonard was allowed to sit out games for the team during the 2019-20 season and live in San Diego.

Harrell, who won the 2020 Sixth Man of the Year Award, also posted some cryptic messages on social media:

Behind Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Montrezl Harrell and Lou Williams, the Clippers racked up the second-best record in the Western Conference standings during the 2019-20 regular season.

After defeating the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2020 playoffs at Walt Disney World and taking a 3-1 series lead over the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals, it appeared the Clippers were on their way to the Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history.

However, the Doc Rivers-coached squad blew their 3-1 lead to the Nuggets and lost the series in seven games. Leonard and George didn't score a single point in the fourth quarter of Game 7 and Williams and Harrell were exposed on defense the entire series.

After the Clippers got back to Los Angeles from Disney World, Rivers and the organization parted ways. LAC hired former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue to replace Doc, who is now the man in charge of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Lue will be under immense pressure next season, as he has to at least get to the Conference Finals. Otherwise, there could be some major changes on the roster.

As for Harrell, he becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so it will be interesting to see if he's back with the Clippers next season.
