Things sure were wild at the end of the 2015-16 season for the Los Angeles Lakers. Beyond the outpour from fans around the world at the retirement of future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant – and the Mamba's ridiculous 60-point finale – media was all over Laker-town due to the recording fiasco between rookie D'Angelo Russell and Nick Young.

The issue remains unresolved if Russell's recent comments to TMZ are any indication. The young Laker responded with “Only time will tell, right?” when asked if things between he and Swaggy P would be “cool next year”.

It would not be surprising for the Lakers to trade Young, and previous reports point in that direction. Russell, although less likely to me moved, has also been implicated in trade rumors. In the latter case, Bill Simmons recently proposed a hypothetical deal that would send Russell and a top-three pick to the Pacers in order to bring Paul George to Los Angeles.

For all of these scenarios, as Russell puts it, only time will tell.
