Following their abysmal 20-6 loss to the lowly New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins are left searching for answers on offense. Meanwhile, their literal search for one of their key defensive players has come to an end, as linebacker Lawrence Timmons will be rejoining the team this week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter stated that the Dolphins have reinstated Timmons, who was suspended by the team after going missing prior to Week 2's game in Los Angeles against the Chargers:

Timmons, as reported by TMZ Sports, did not show up the day before the Chargers game, citing that he was headed to Pennsylvania to visit his daughter. A rep from the Dolphins went as far as filing a missing person report when Timmons gave no prior word to the team that he planned to make a sudden cross-country trip. The 31-year-old was spotted at LAX on Sunday morning and returned to the team, but was not allowed to play the game against the Chargers and was suspended indefinitely.

Timmons spent his first 10 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The former Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl champion registered 677 tackles, 35.5 sacks, and 12 interceptions during his decade-long stint in Pittsburgh. He made it back in time to take another long flight – a warranted one, this time around – with his fellow Dolphins teammates to take on the New Orleans Saints in London this coming Sunday.
