The Elden Ring Steam Store Page finally went live this week. This comes in with a huge sigh of relief for Steam players worried it would become an Epic Exclusive. Rumors about the game being exclusive to the Epic storefront have been swirling around since its initial announcement. However, with the arrival of the official Steam page, those can now be put to rest.

The official Steam Store Page describes the game as such:

“THE NEW FANTASY ACTION RPG. Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between.”

Elden Ring is From Software's next new IP. Fans know them best for the Dark Souls series, which has birthed its own genre of “souls-like” games. They have also released new IPs since then, like the PlayStation exclusive Bloodborne, and the mythical-Japan set Sekiro. Elden Ring is their latest outing and will return to some medieval high-fantasy roots – this time with the help of Game of Thrones author George RR Martin.

The game has a big focus on a “vast world full of excitement.” It also promises to give players huge dungeons with “complex and three-dimensional” designs that are seamlessly connected with the open world.

Elden Ring will also allow players to create their own character. This is not limited to their appearance, but also their weapons, armor, and magic. The game will also feature extensive RPG customization options that allow each player to tailor-fit their experience to their desired playstyle.

Elden Ring releases on January 21, 2022. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
