A wild story emerged in the baseball world when Cincinnati Reds outfielder Tommy Pham, incensed at San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson over a fantasy football transgression, slapped the Giants outfielder, earning himself a suspension in the process. Pham accused Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout, who is the commissioner of their fantasy league, for not doing enough to prevent the squabble from occurring. Trout responded to Pham's accusations, per Andy McCullough of The Athletic.
Mike Trout declined to comment on whether Joc Pederson violated the rules of the fantasy league. He said he is unsure if he’ll resign as commissioner for this coming season. “Every commissioner I know gets booed,” he said.

Trout didn't comment on whether Pederson, who supposedly manipulated the league's Injured List feature to boost his roster, violated fantasy football league rules.
The Angels star is unsure if Pham's criticisms will result in his resignation as commissioner, saying that every “commissioner he knows gets booed.”
Commissioner certainly is a thankless job, particularly in a fantasy football league. However, it sounds like Trout is going to keep doing what he's doing, the Pham-Pederson incident aside.
The league, which had a $10,000 buy-in, struggled to find a commissioner until Trout was essentially urged to take on the role.
The Angels star did say that he spoke with both Pederson and Pham. While Trout is likely hoping this situation goes away as quickly as it came up, baseball fans and fantasy football aficionados are enjoying the entertainment provided by the downright bizarre situation.
