Former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg shares a helpful tip to Max Verstappen which could aid him in his intense battle with Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen and Hamilton have been neck and neck throughout the entire season, and with 6 races to go, every single point counts. There is no one better to ask how one can beat Lewis Hamilton than his former teammate, Nico Rosberg.

Amid Hamilton's domination in Formula 1's V6 turbo-hybrid era, Rosberg remains the only driver to beat the Brit in this era. The 2 drivers competed week in week out, which unfortunately stirred up a toxic environment between the two, and ultimately affected the team that led to the fallout of their relationship as best friends.

Rosberg shares that the bar Lewis Hamilton has set in his incredible run is almost unflawed, even calling him to be the best driver of all time. But Rosberg also shares a chink in the armor of the almighty Brit — a weakness that Max Verstappen can take advantage of.

Via Ben Winstanley of Square Mile:

“Lewis also has these periods where he loses a bit of motivation – he has these dips in form – and there it’s important to maximise those moments, to keep him down for a bit longer.”

Additionally, the former Formula 1 champion emphasizes the importance of being at your 110% throughout the whole season — if you're unable to reach that level, you have no chance whatsoever against Hamilton. Hand in hand with that level one must also be as consistent as possible because the 7-time world champion will always seize any opportunity given to him.

Formula 1 will return this weekend at the United States Grand Prix where Verstappen will look to keep all these tips in mind heading into the final stages of the season.
