Jack Eichel is certainly loving the new atmosphere he’s found himself in after getting traded by the Buffalo Sabres to the Las Vegas Golden Knights. And he’s making Vegas love him too with his play on the ice that has already resulted in a pair of game-winners, including the one he scored Sunday night to deliver the Golden Knights a 2-1 victory at home over the Ottawa Senators.

Eichel scored with the game-winning goal on the power play with just 5.2 ticks remaining in regulation – his third goal of the season, all with the Golden Knights.

After the game, Eichel seemed to have taken a dig at the Sabres, whom he had a falling out with over the treatment of his neck injury.

Via the Golden Knights’ Twitter account:

“It's great, you can feel it. It's the first time that I've been in this situation like this where every game means something.”

Eichel spent his first six years in the NHL without tasting a single winning season. He was moved by the Sabres to the Golden Knights via trade last November after clashing with Buffalo’s management over how to go forward in treating his ailing neck.

With Eichel now healthy, it’s going to be just a matter of time before he blossoms again into the dangerous offensive weapon he used to be for the Sabres.
