Surfers tend to be chill dudes and Miami Heat center Kelly Olynyk looking like one has Hassan Whiteside a little bit concerned about how other people perceive his new teammate.

Here's a tweet by WPLG's Clay Ferraro on how Whiteside assessed Olynyk's appearance:

Whiteside has been known around the league not only as an intimidating rim protector, but also as an entertaining individual, who's an easy source for colorful quips just like in this case.

Earlier this offseason, the shot-blocking machine went to Europe, where he tried to get the Queen of England in a Snapchat video. He also made a series of hilarious Snapchat clips in an attempt to lure big free agents to Miami. We don't know for sure if Olynyk saw those videos, but the former Boston Celtic nevertheless chose Miami, having signed a four-year, $50 million deal with the Heat this offseason.

Reading between the lines Whiteside's funny commentary of Olynyk, however, could also be taken as his way of telling that he's someone who knows how to value his teammates. And for him to be that kind of individual is kind of ironic, considering he once almost murdered the Gonzaga Bulldogs product on the court.
