The Atlanta Hawks have been given a proper scare in the dying moments of the first half of their do-or-die Play-In matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hawks big man Clint Capela had to be helped to the locker room after suffering what appears to be a scary knee injury.

This was a bit of a freak accident after Cavs rookie Evan Mobley fell on Capela's knee after the Hawks center pulled him down (h/ ClutchPoints on Twitter):

The game officials looked at the play afterward but they decided not to call a flagrant foul on Capela. He clearly pulled Mobley back as the Cavs rookie was attempting a lay-up, and this was the only reason why he fell on Capela's knee. Either way, this was clearly a freak accident that nobody wants to see. Prayers up for the Hawks big man here.

The Hawks have provided an update on Capela's status and unfortunately, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest:

This puts the Hawks at a major disadvantage with John Collins also sidelined due to injury.
