Taurean Prince, who suffered an ankle injury during the Atlanta Hawks against the Golden State Warriors last December, is making significant progress with his recovery and is expected to suit up for the Hawks anytime soon according to Atlanta Journal's Chris Vivlamore.

Taurean Prince getting close to return. He has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday’s game against Bucks.

Prince hasn't played for the Hawks since December 5, according to the team, MRI tests showed the three-year veteran suffered a ligament sprain, bone bruise and soft tissue inflammation in his left ankle.

Prince, the team's starting forward is currently averaging 15 points, four rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 21 games.

Kent Bazemore replaced Prince in the starting line-up.

The Hawks have actually been decent during Prince's absence, winning seven of their last 16 games. However, his return could help Atlanta rack up more wins as they try to claw their way back into the playoff race.

The Hawks are currently 12th in the Eastern Conference standings and are just six games behind the eighth seeded Charlotte Hornets. Atlanta could use Prince's production to rack up more wins. They are capable of winning four-five consecutive games but can also fall into losing streaks with the same length.

The Hawks would have to play an almost perfect basketball game against the Bucks, who could be getting perennial MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo tomorrow for their match-up.
