Luka Doncic and Trae Young have quite a friendly rivalry going on as a result of the 2018 draft-day trade between the Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks in which some critics poke fun at the decision of ‘trading away' the transcendental Slovenian. In addition, the pair have been constantly pitted against each other in a Rookie of the Year race that didn't seem to be all that close — just to get the fiery competitive Oklahoma Sooner to respond.

With both sophomores being shoo-ins for the Rising Stars exhibition, the two found themselves in an early face-to-face as they squared-off for the last shot of the quarter with Young daring Doncic to pull up and shoot a halfcourt 3-pointer which the 20-year-old calmly and surely converted much to the pair's amusement.

The Hawks point guard later took to Twitter to post his reaction to the shot as well as their viral reaction.

On top of the Rising Stars game, Doncic and Young were also voted in as starters for the All-Star Game. An expected one for the Mavs point forward given that he led the league at one point in total votes, eclipsing the impregnable LeBron James before the Los Angeles Lakers superstar eventually wrest control of the votes in the succeeding ballot results.

But Young was the most surprising given the Hawks record and the presence of flashier and more established elite point guards such as the Boston Celtics' Kemba Walker and Brooklyn Nets' Kyrie Irving. This just goes to show that the walking 30-10 guard with limitless range has taken the league by storm and won over fans in his (no pun intended) young career.
