With All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler in the fold, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo says the team looks really good on paper, which as we all know, means nothing in the NBA.

Adebayo has the right mindset going into 2019-20. He knows the Heat have the potential to be a good team, but that it's up to the players to put in the work everyday to live up to the hype.

ā€œI canā€™t tell you that right now,ā€ Heat center Bam Adebayo said Saturday during a break at his second annual youth basketball clinic at Riviera Preparatory School in Kendall, via the Miami Herald. ā€œBut on paper, we look like weā€™re really good. So weā€™ve just got to fulfill that and go out there and play our hardest and just complete.ā€

The Heat's roster is headlined by Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow, James Johnson and Bam Adebayo. Miami traded Hassan Whiteside to the Portland Trail Blazers because the franchise has full confidence Adebayo is going to turn into an All-Star as the full-time starter at center.

The Heat acquired Meyers Leonard from the Blazers in the Whiteside trade. Leonard is going to space the floor very well for Miami.

This past season, Adebayo averaged 8.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 57.6 percent from the field. The Heat are obviously going to go as far as Butler can take them, but the development of Adebayo is key as well.
