Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler got into it with Indiana Pacers swingman T.J. Warren on Thursday in a feisty encounter between these two Eastern Conference contenders. The competitiveness and physicality seemed to have gone a bit overboard at one point, with the two needing to be separated as things began to escalate.

Following the game, though, retired five-time All-Star and former NBA champ Chauncey Billups shared just how much pleasure he took in seeing this type of fire in players, also saying that he does not think Butler went too far.

Butler's post-game comments were absolute gold, and to some extent, it even felt like a WWE interview. The 30-year-old is not the type to keep his feelings to himself, and he absolutely made sure the rest of the world knew how he felt about Warren.

To build on Billups' and Kenrick Perkins' comments above, though, Warren absolutely does not qualify as a “trash” player. The 6-foot-8 small forward has been tremendous for the Pacers all season long, picking up the slack in the absence of All-Star guard Victor Oladipo.

In his first season for the Pacers, Warren is currently averaging 17.9 points (on 50.4 percent shooting), 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 steals, while also connecting on 1.2 3-pointers per game on a 36.8-percent clip. He has been one of the main reasons why Indiana remain well within the playoffs picture in the East despite not having their best player available.

March 20's rematch between the Heat and the Pacers is certainly something we're all looking forward to.
